| Joanna
Rizzuti founded Atlantis Yacht Charters eight years ago. She is a graduate
of Columbia University, Barnard College and holds a degree in Economics
and has completed coursework towards her MBA at New York University. Prior
to AYC, she spent eight years working for large financial service companies
and has an extensive business background. Joanna has traveled extensively
throughout the world and is fluent in Greek. She is an avid sailor, skier,
runner and enjoys reading and the arts.
While in the financial services industry, sailing became a favorite hobby. Joanna met her husband, Ernie (who customers frequently meet on weekends at the marina, and often think works for her) through San Francisco’s local sailing magazine Latitude 38. Together they own the Nordic 44 that AYC charters, which is how the business began. They have three children, Christopher 5, Nicole 3, and the newest addition, Sophia, born in April of 2001. Joanna’s mom Stella lives with them and often helps out with the business.
